Our company is looking for an experienced and energetic Event Manager to join the team. As an Event Manager with The Westin, you'll be part of the planning process from A to Z. You'll meet with clients to learn what they're looking for, and from there, you'll organize an event that best suits their needs.
Work closely with clients to understand requirements and desires for each event
Brainstorm and present event ideas to clients
Manage the event budget and all invoices
Book venues and schedule any notable guests, such as speakers or musicians
Negotiate with sponsors and vendors
Hire and train event personnel
Oversee all event operations, such as setting up the venue and preparing food and drink
Resolve conflicts as they arise
Obtain all necessary event permits
Manage post-event reports
BA in hospitality, public relations, communications, or similar field
[2+] years experience as an Event Manager
Excellent communication and marketing skills
Superb multitasking and organizational skills
Project management and leadership skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and various event planning software
Portfolio of successful events preferred
